Labor-Platina produces, repairs platinum electrodes, net electrodes, gauze electrodes, also after your drawing. With a technical drawing, exact data we can fulfill near any demand.

Gauze electrodes, net electrodes

Gauze electrodes or net electrodes we weld out of our own platinum gauze/net/mesh material. Here are some types of gauze electrodes:

  • simple cylindrical electrode, with two possible constructions (construction possibility 1: the cylinder is made of two frames-ring-wires and the net or building possibility 2: the cylinder is bent into the cylinder-form, made of a net, welded in a rectangular frame wire)
  • Fischer gauze electrode (consisting of two, separate cylinder electrodes: a cylindrical electrode with smaller diameter is located in the larger cylinder electrode)
  • Winkler gauze electrode (consisting of a spiral wire and the cylinder electrodes: the separate coil wire is located in the cylinder electrode)
  • Wölbling gauze electrode (the contact wire here is not welded to the side of the cylinder, but is in the middle of the cylinder, held by one-one cross at the top and at the bottom of the cylinder)

Data of our gauze material
Material: PtRh10 (Pt90%-Rh10%), sometimes PtIr5 (Pt95%-Ir5%)
Wire thickness: 0.22 mm or 0.25 mm
Number of meshes: about 100-120 holes/cm²
Mesh hole size: about 0.6-0.8 mm
Maximum size of one by us woven gauze: 110 mm * about 90-100 cm (= about 400-500 g)
Weight: about 0.26 or 0.28 g/cm²
Data of our frame wire,
of an average-size-electrode
Thickness of the frame wire: usually 0.75 or 0.8 mm
Weight: about 10 g/m

Schöninger electrodes

Schöninger electrode with laser-welded, plain grid
Schöninger electrode with laser-welded, plain grid

This laser-welded Schöninger electrode type, with plain grid, is stronger then the woven-wire electrode-types. The wire thickness depends on the size of the electrode.

Material: PtRh10 (Pt90%-Rh10%)
Wire thickness: 0.75 or 0.8 mm
Weight: about 10 g/m
